What motivated you to become a ClarkLEADER?
ClarkLEAD is a major event that provides introductory guidance to incoming Maryland Engineering students about diversity and inclusion. Being able to be part of this big event and facilitate incoming students motivated me to become a ClarkLEADER.

What are some organizations or extracurricular activities you think new students should know about?
I definitely recommend students check out all the cool engineering clubs like Terps Racing, Women in Engineering, Engineers Without Borders, and all other clubs at the First Look Fair during the Fall Semester. At UMD, there is always a club for everyone!

If you attended ClarkLEAD as a first-year student, what did you enjoy most about the event?
I enjoyed listening to and learning about different people’s experiences within the Clark School and getting to know more about the responsibilities engineers have with their work.

What is one piece of advice you would like to share with new Maryland Engineering students?
Some advice all Maryland Engineering students should know is to take advantage of their professor’s office hours, get academic support through different clubs and organizations, and create study groups.
