Transfer Student Advising & Admissions is part of the Undergraduate Advising & Academic Support Office in the A. James Clark School of Engineering. Our purpose is to serve all prospective and currently enrolled Maryland Engineering transfer students as they navigate their academic journey.

Start your journey by viewing our admission video! From there, review our webpages to navigate the transfer steps to success.

Where are you in your transfer journey?

  • Prospective Internal Transfer Student: Internal transfer students are current University of Maryland students who have not yet declared engineering as their major (e.g., these are students in Letters & Sciences or another major on campus).

  • Prospective External Transfer Student: External transfer students are students who have not yet transferred to the University of Maryland. These students are currently attending another instution (e.g., a community college or another 4-year school).

  • Current Maryland Engineering Transfer Student: Current Maryland Engineering transfer students are students who have submitted an application and been admitted to the A. James Clark School of Engineering. Our office has a number of resources to support you throughout your time in the Clark School!
