3D Design & Printing Program Overview

This free 3D Design & Printing Summer Program is a 2-week commuter summer camp that provides students with the opportunity to learn about science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) through hands-on 3D-design projects in a fun-filled learning environment on the campus of the University of Maryland, College Park!

 Session will be held from July 20th, 2026, to August 14th, 2026, for rising 4th through 6th graders who attend school in Maryland and the Washington DC Metropolitan Region. The session will host a maximum of 20 students.

Applications will be reviewed and parents/guardians will be notified of the student's acceptance into the program. Parents/guardians and students must reside in the Washington DC Metropolitan Area. However, students must bring their own lunch and snacks. Please email Abeku Abercrombie (aabercro@umd.edu) with any questions.

1.    Inspire and motivate students.
2.    Help students develop math and technical skills.
3.    Introduce students to UMD.
4.    Introduce students to Engineering.
5.    Have FUN!

-    Rising 4th , 5th and 6th grade students
-    Student must reside in the Washington DC Metropolitan Area
-    Prioritization for students who have engaged with other CMSE programs
