Navigating Maryland Engineering is a staple recruitment event for Center for Minorities in Science and Engineering (CMSE) partnered with The Black Engineers Society (BES), hosting 150 high school students and parents interested in engineering. Students and parents will be given an opportunity to connect with current students, gain insight on applications, and the organizations and resources available to them.

The workshop is hosted by CMSE & UMD’s Black Engineers Society, and will feature speakers from the financial aid and admission offices, a current student panel, tours, and more!

Participants will explore Maryland Engineering through introductions to the A James Clark Engineering School, the Center for Minorities Science and Engineering (CMSE), and by gaining more insight on the application process.
