Study Abroad Application Timeline and Steps

Advising Appointments: Individual Meetings & Group Advising Sessions

Our advising team is available to meet with students throughout the study abroad process: as you explore programs of interest, complete an application, and prepare for your departure. However,  there are two steps to the advising process:

Step One: Group Advising

Attend a group advising session with Katherine dedicated to your area of study (Mechanical, Aerospace, Computer, etc.) to learn more about the best time to go abroad, available programs where you can complete degree requirements, and other academic-specific considerations.

All sessions take place via Zoom 

  • Mechanical:
    • Thursday, February 5th, 3-4pm
    • Wednesday, February 18th, 12:30-1:30pm 
    • Monday, March 2nd, 1-2pm
    • Wednesday, April 8th, 3-4pm
  • Computer & Electrical:
    • Friday, February 6th, 1-2pm
    • Thursday, February 19th, 11am-Noon
    • Wednesday, March 4th, 12:30-1:30pm
  • Aerospace, Chemical, Fire Protection, Materials Science:
    • Tuesday, February 10th, 1-2pm 
    • Tuesday, February 24th, 10-11am
  • Bioengineering & Civil:
    • Monday, February 9th, 10-11am
    • Wednesday, February 25th, Noon-1pm 
  • Walk-in Advising Prior to FL26/FY26-27 Application Deadline:
    • Monday, March 9th, 2-5pm (Zoom)
    • Deadline: Tuesday, March 10th, 10am-1:30pm, EGR 1131B (ENGR Student Services Suite Conference Room)

Attend a Madrid group advising session to learn about logistics such as academics, housing, cost, dates, and included program activities.

Step Two: Individual Advising Appointment

➡️ Once you have attended a group advising session, you may schedule an individual appointment with the relevant advisor for your program*. Don't know who to meet with? Use the chart below to find out!

ENGR students applying to programs in Madrid: if an appointment time with Katherine does not work with your availability, you can meet with Julia instead.

*If you schedule an individual appointment before attending a group advising session, it will be cancelled.
