The CMSE Technical & Leadership Preparedness (TLP) Program seeks to enhance students' technical and soft skills as well as career readiness through a series of workshops and a professional leadership retreat. The program will equip a cohort of 10-15 students per academic year with the competencies needed to thrive in both their academic coursework and a competitive workforce.
The TLP Program at the University of Maryland provides a unique opportunity for 10-15 undergraduate students interested in technology professions to accelerate the start of their careers. It is aimed at second-year and third-year students in Engineering interested in technology careers, and intends to improve retention rates and create a supportive and engaging learning environment. Students will have the opportunity to engage with CMSE alumni and industry profressionals during the duration of the program.
