Corporate entities and private individuals can support the WIE Program by making a contribution to one of the WIE funds. Thanks to support from donors, WIE is able to provide opportunities for Maryland Engineering students to pursue successful STEM-related careers.

The WIE Program is grateful for the support from generous corporate donors:

The WIE Strategic Initiatives Fund provides unrestricted funding to enhance programs, initatives, and efforts that advance the mission of WIE. Giving to this fund will make a direct impact on the recruitment, retention and advancement of undergraduate and graduate WIE students. Gifts to this fund will support WIE’s commitment to student success through activities such as leadership development through mentoring and tutoring, technical skill workshops and community engagement.

The WIE Living and Learning Fund supports the Flexus: The Dr. Marilyn Berman Pollans WIE Living & Learning Community. Flexus is both a residential and academic program, with undergraduate engineering majors living and studying together in Easton Hall.  Flexus enables students to establish valuable personal and professional relationships with other students in their areas of interest, as well as receive professional mentoring and networking opportunities with role models in engineering. Flexus students work closely with students in the Virtus Engineering Living and Learning Program.

The WIE  Advisory Board established the WIE Opportunity Scholarship to help recruit and retain high-performing students, as well as provide support in financial emergencies.
