Women in Engineering
Summer Internship Program

Please check back in February 2024 for information about the 2024 WIE Summer Internship Program.

Each summer,  the Women in Engineering Program in the A James Clark School of Engineering hires interns to assist with the development and coordination of middle and high school summer programs. The summer internship program allows undergraduates who are interested in working directly with middle and high school-aged students to enhance their leadership, communication, and program planning skills while building mentoring relationships with program participants.

2023 WIE Summer Internship Program

The 2023 Summer Program interns will support the Women in Engineering Outreach initiatives between early June to early August, 2023, to include intern training, program preparation, and program support for the summer programs. The ideal candidate will be available for all of the sessions.

All WIE summer programs aim to increase middle and high school student interest in engineering by providing opportunities for learning, engagement, and empowerment. WIE summer programs are geared towards women, though open to all.

WIE Change the World is a one-week summer program for high school students who are considering engineering as a possible major and career. Students will explore the various disciplines of engineering through hands-on activities, informative workshops, team challenges and seminars with faculty, staff, and students in the Clark School of Engineering.
