What motivated you to become a ClarkLEADER?
I wanted to become a ClarkLEADER so that I could help welcome future engineering students and share my experiences with underrepresented students in engineering as a woman pursuing engineering. At last year’s ClarkLEAD I really appreciated hearing from women in the engineering school about their experiences and I want to be able to provide that support to incoming students.
What are some organizations or extracurricular activities you think new students should know about?
Women in Engineering & Camp Kesem!
If you attended ClarkLEAD as a first-year student, what did you enjoy most about the event?
I most enjoyed hearing from current students about their experiences.
What is one piece of advice you would like to share with new Maryland Engineering students?
One piece of advice I would like to share with new UMD engineering students would be to make a point to go to office hours and meet your professors because having a relationship with your professor is very important to succeeding in your classes.
