On April 22nd, Thursday at 5:00 pm in 1115 CSI, HKN and IEEE will be hosting an Academic Networking Night open to all students. The itinerary of the program is as follows:
1. Dr. O'Shea, department chair of ECE, will present HKN with its 2008-2009 outstanding chapter of the year award
2. Dr. Pamela Abshire who is a professor in the ECE department as well as the head of the MERIT research program at UMD will speak about her own research and opportunities with MERIT
3. Dr. Uzi Vishkin, CE professor, will talk about his research - he specializes in parallel algorithms.
4. Around 6:00 pm we will break for food and networking. At this point senior HKN students in addition to graduate HKN alumni students (Masters and PhD) will speak about their research and answer questions
So come out to have all your questions answered - even the ones you don't have yet!
