What Made You Decide to Attend UMD?
I decided to attend the University of Maryland primarily because of its renowned mechanical engineering program, renowned for its research, accomplished faculty, and industry connections. UMD provides numerous extracurricular activities, including engineering clubs and organizations, which allow me to apply classroom knowledge in practical scenarios and connect with peers. Lastly, the strong alumni network, especially in engineering, promises valuable connections, mentorship opportunities, and career prospects as I progress through my studies and into my professional journey.

Best Experience with a Class or Project
My best experience with a project would be the MCAA project that I worked on as part of the MCAMW organization at UMD. This is a extracurricular project that I worked on with other students to learn about the real life processes of creating buildings and construction engineering. We did this project to compete nationally against other universities and made top 10 in the 2023 competition. I really enjoyed this experience because I went on 2 different trips across the country in relation to this project and gained useful experience in the engineering field.
