What motivated you to become a ClarkLEADER?
Coming to university is often opening a new chapter in someone's life, and it can be pretty scary, especially if you do not know anyone. I wanted to be a ClarkLeader to show the new engineers how friendly and welcoming the Clark community is, hoping to help ease that transition into UMD!
What is one piece of advice you would like to share with new Maryland Engineering Students?
Do not be a afraid to ask for help! When you first join university, it seems like everyone is grasping concepts in a second and you are just sitting there completely lost (I've been there). Do not be shy to ask your professors, TAs, or even your classmates for help. Go to them with targeted questions and seek their guidance on how to improve. We are all in this together!
What are some organizations or extracurricular activities you think new students should know about?
Quality Enhancement Systems and Teams (QUEST) Honor's Program, (First-Year Innovation and Research Experience (FIRE) Program, Women In Engineering (WIE), Start-Up Shell
