What inspired you to become a ClarkLEADER?
My first year at the University of Maryland came right after an entire senior year online. It was a huge change for me, but there was a lot of help along the way. I wanted to be someone that students could relate to, so they could know that they are more than capable of handling the workload.

What is one piece of advice you would like to share with new Maryland Engineering students?
People are always willing to help if you’re willing to ask. Don’t be afraid to send out emails, connect with people online, and even in person. Make a good impression and you’ll be surprised how helpful people can be.

What are some organizations or extracurricular activities you are involved with on campus?
I am a part of the South Asian Student Association and Muslim Student Association.

What is a cool engineering experience you've had?
Being able to work in an engineering lab throughout my sophomore year, I was able to work on projects with real world implications, which was a great way for me to see how my studies can be applied outside of the work I do in classes.
