What inspired you to become a ClarkLEADER?
After attending my first ClarkLEAD event, I knew that the 4 hours of information given resonated deeply with me. Having the opportunity to help incoming engineering students, like myself, understand the power of inclusivity and empowerment, drives me to become a ClarkLEADER.

If you attended ClarkLEAD as a first-year student, what did you enjoy most about the event?
I enjoyed learning about how being inclusive, creating safe environments and being empathetic can foster positive thinking/learning. In addition, learning and living the values of what it means to be Terrapin Strong, also made the event enjoyable.

What is one piece of advice you would like to share with new Maryland Engineering students?
Engineering is a team sport. So, don't be affraid to ask for help when you need it.

What are some organizations or extracurricular activities you are involved with on campus?
I am a part of Terps Racing.

What is a cool engineering experience you've had?
As part of my Design Engineering class (FIRE), we were tasked in creating a frame for a capsule. Our mission was to have the largest volume while optimizing on price and materials used. Our team had an issue with the joints on our frame, and to overcome this problem, we had to think back to our ENES 102 (Mechanics Class) and ended up using gusset plates to strengthen the joints. This experience really showed me how concepts can overlap in everyday circumstances.
