What motivated you to become a ClarkLEADER?
I was motivated to be a ClarkLEADER simply by my experience of finding my own path in the Clark School of Engineering. It can be scary coming into an unfamiliar environment and I just want to be able to help those coming into engineering feel comfortable and supported in their journey.
What is one piece of advice you would like to share with new Maryland Engineering Students?
A piece of advice I would share is to not be afraid of new opportunities and experiences. Throughout your time in engineering you're going to learn new things and take classes that will expose you to concepts and ideas that are unfamiliar. Take advantgage of this - especially during classes like ENES100 where you can explore engineering concepts even outside of your particular field.
If you attended ClarkLEAD as a first-year student, what did you enjoy most about the event?
The part of attending ClarkLEAD I enjoyed most was getting to connect with other incoming Clark School students. Seeing familiar faces in my classes during my first few months made the transition much easier.
