What inspired you to become a ClarkLEADER?
It was a good opportunity to try and help incoming students.

What is one piece of advice you would like to share with new Maryland Engineering students?
College is not the same as high school. Since you're at UMD, you may have been one of the students who never studied but got good enough results anyway. That mindset can quickly lead to some bad test scores. Try to develop good study habits early, and if you're not sure how to do that, going to professor's drop-in office hours and asking questions can be helpful, as well as asking students who've taken the class.

What are some organizations or extracurricular activities you are involved with on campus?
I'm involved in Terps for Change, which is a volunteer organization at UMD that helps with a variety of social issues. I'm also in American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).

What is a cool engineering experience you've had?
I've had a great time interning for a construction management company. Seeing all the details that go into actually constructing a building is pretty mind-blowing, especially when big changes come in like walls and ceilings being completed.
