What inspired you to become a ClarkLEADER?
I wanted to become a ClarkLEADER because I wanted to be a part of welcoming new students to the Clark school community. My ClarkLEADERS as a freshman helped me a lot and gave me tons of advice so I wanted to do the same thing for future generations of students.

What is one piece of advice you would like to share with new Maryland Engineering students?
Don't be afraid to seek help from your professors in office hours or go to the free tutoring services offered by UMD if you are struggling. Most students will have trouble with a few classes, especially in engineering, and there is no shame in seeking help.

What are some organizations or extracurricular activities you are involved with on campus?
I am the Communications Team Lead with the Accessible Prosthetics Initiative, a club that creates 3D printed prosthetics and works with organizations and members of the disability community to create prostheses that are available to all. I also enjoy staying active and have been in various sports clubs, including tennis, fencing, and sailing.

What is a cool engineering experience you've had?
At my summer research internship, I was able to use the MATLAB skills I learned at UMD to create a machine learning algorithm for categorizing hand grasps. It was my first experience using coding in research and I loved it.
