What inspired you to become a ClarkLEADER?
I became a ClarkLEADER because I wanted to be more involved in the Clark school. In addition, I want to help new engineers feel excited about the unique opportunities that come with being a student in the Clark school. I also am looking forward to making new connections with other ClarkLEADERs and students.

If you attended ClarkLEAD as a first-year student, what did you enjoy most about the event?
I enjoyed being surrounded by other new engineering students and having the opportunity to meet people. I also enjoyed being exposed to current engineering students so that I could learn about their experiences in the Clark school.

What is one piece of advice you would like to share with new Maryland Engineering students?
A piece of advice for new Maryland Engineering students is to not be afraid to reach out and get to know the people in your classes. Chances are, you will see a lot of them in many classes, so making connections and forming groups of people to work with is really beneficial.

What are some organizations or extracurricular activities you are involved with on campus?
In addition to ClarkLEAD, I am the Vice President for Unbound Dance Team, a student-led dance group. I also like to play intramural sports such as basketball and soccer with my friends.

What is a cool engineering experience you've had?
My favorite engineering experience that I've had in the Clark school was the ENES100 showcase day after spending the semester designing and building an over-terrain vehicle. In addition to presenting my group's project, it was really interesting and fun to check out other projects and learn about other group's designs. I think it is really cool how different groups tackled the same problems in different ways.
