What inspired you to become a ClarkLEADER?
I want to help represent fire protection engineering at UMD since it's such a small major. Also, I always love to see that other women are in my classes, so I'd like to offer that feeling to incoming engineers.

What is one piece of advice you would like to share with new Maryland Engineering students?
Get familiar with GroupMe, and be ready to start those groups for a class at the beginning. It's an invaluable resource in creating a class study group for homework especially, but also helpful when people get sick and need class notes on a given day.

What are some organizations or extracurricular activities you are involved with on campus?
I'm a proud Salamander and member of SFPE and NFSA, but I'm also a commuter and volunteer with Laurel Cats off-campus.

What is a cool engineering experience you've had?
In ENES100, I got to program an Arduino, and finally getting the baseline program to navigate an obstacle course was so cool! Our robot had too much voltage supplied and did not end up doing anything it was supposed to in the test runs, but trying something new with learning to code was neat.
