What inspired you to become a ClarkLEADER?
As someone who didn’t have a mentor during my first few years at Maryland, I discovered how crucial it was to be a part of a community. I want to help both first-years and transfer students navigate these uncharted waters their first year in Engineering at UMD.

What is one piece of advice you would like to share with new Maryland Engineering students?
Don’t be afraid of failure. As someone who came from a competitive high school, failing wasn’t an option. You need to get out of that mentality, failing helps you learn but most importantly, remain resilient.

What are some organizations or extracurricular activities you are involved with on campus?
I am heavily involved with Black Engineers Society and the National Society of Black Engineers. I also work at Terrapin Works on campus. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me!

What is a cool engineering experience you've had?
I had the opportunity this summer to see General Electric’s generators and Turbines up close! Turbines are more than just a trapezoid.
