Take the time to join organizations and clubs that can both help your professional development and serve as an academic support group. Use internships and research as an opportunity to determine where you want to take your career. Try to find a mentor whether it be informal or formal to help throughout your career.

Achievements:

Before coming to BAE Systems, Louis worked at Textron Systems as a Supplier Quality Engineer. During his time at UMD he was involved with SHPE, ASME, and ASHRAE, and Sigma Chi Fraternity. Louis has continued with his involvement in SHPE in his professional career, earning SHPE’s STAR of Tomorrow Award. He completed research as an undergraduate through LSAMP’s URP. Louis has been endorsed by many of his peers for his teamwork and organization. Louis is currently working towards completing his M.E in Mechanical engineering within the next year.
