How did you find the internship/co-op? What was the interview process like?    I found the internship opportunity at the Chi Epsilon Civil Engineering Career Fair. The interview process was smooth and not stressful. It was one interview, about 45 minutes long, and my interviewer was very kind and thoughtful.

What have been the most interesting aspects of your internship?    The most interesting aspects of my internship were the scale of projects and the amount of collaboration on each assignment and project.

How would you describe the company culture?  What was the most helpful thing your supervisor did to make you feel comfortable at the organization?    The company culture at Bozzuto was extremely friendly, warm, and welcoming. I felt like part of the team and I was treated as such.

Was there diversity among your colleagues within the department and throughout your internship/co-op experience?    Yes, I was working within a very diverse group of people that came from all sorts of backgrounds. It was a pleasure to learn about my colleagues' stories and roots.

Was there a formal program for all interns at the company?  Was peer support available throughout the internship?    Yes, we were assigned a project manager and/or mentor to guide us through the internship, give us tasks, and provide insight and feedback along the way.

What advice would you give other UMD engineering students seeking an internship or co-op position?    It is always worth a shot. Whether it's going to the career fair, signing up for an interview, applying to a position, there's no reason not to try. You never know what could come of it.
