Information Sessions and Tours

Information sessions and facilities tours offer prospective students the opportunity to learn more about Maryland Engineering!

We expect dates for spring virtual information sessions to be posted here by the end of January.

All prospective first-year and transfer students are invited to join us for a virtual information session about the A. James Clark School of Engineering.  All sessions include an overview of our majors, minors, research opportunities, student services, and more. All sessions run approximately for one hour and do not include an in-person tour. They are conducted by Clark School Ambassadors, current engineering students within the College, who will be able to answer your questions about the admissions process, student life, and all things in between!  Meet a few of our Clark School Ambassadors.  It is highly encouraged that you attend a virtual information session prior to participating in an in-person engineering facilities tour.

Prospective transfer students are encouraged to learn more about the transfer admissions process.

Interested in attending an in-person tour of a few of our engineering facilities? Register for one of the dates listed below. Tours run approximately for an hour.  Most Clark School tours include visits to Terrapin Works labs as well as department labs, when available.  We cannot guarantee that a specific lab will be available on the day of your tour.

All visitors on campus are expected to abide by the UMD campus health and safety guidelines. Please review these guidelines before coming to campus. More information will also be provided in the confirmation email sent after submitting a registration form.  These tours do not include an information session.
