Clark School Mourns the Passing of Student Trevor Quinn
A. James Clark School of Engineering Interim Dean Robert M. Briber sent the following email this morning to the Clark School community:
Dear Clark School Students, Faculty, and Staff,
I regret to share with you the sad news that we have lost a member of our community.
Trevor Quinn, a junior studying aerospace engineering, passed away on Friday. Our hearts are with Trevor's family, friends, and classmates during this very difficult time.
Many of you knew Trevor and how committed he was to engineering and to his peers. He participated in the Gemstone Honors Program and Balloon Payload Program, conducting research and honing his skills to work on a team. He cared about his fellow engineers; as part of the Virtus Living–Learning Program, he worked to make our field more diverse and inclusive. He cared about the future of our profession; one of his stated goals was to make "meaningful contributions to the field upon graduation."
This is a difficult time for those who knew Trevor—from family and friends to professors and peers—and the entire Clark School. A tragedy like this affects our entire community, and a range of emotions is natural given this sad news. We encourage you to seek the support of friends, family, and our university staff. If you need to talk with someone, the Division of Student Affairs has resources for you:

My sincerest hope is that, as we work through our reactions and emotions, we continue Trevor's legacy of building a better engineering profession.
