Join ENTRYMaryland Transfer Advantage Program (MTAP)
MTAP provides a pathway for students at participating community colleges to earn an undergraduate degree at UMD. Students who participate in MTAP have access to transfer advising resources and are eligible to take discounted courses at UMD during the winter and summer terms before officially transferring.

Students have the option to participate in internships with the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) while pursuing their Bachelor’s degree in Engineering at UMD at the USMSM campus in Southern Maryland.

The MATRIX Lab
The MATRIX Lab allows students to apply their classroom learning hands-on. State-of-the-art equipment and resources are available to allow students to build, fly, and drive their classroom assignments and capstone projects. The lab also offers paid internship opportunities to help students get real-world research experience.

UROC supports research related to Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) for the University of Maryland, the state of Maryland, public/private organizations and federal government agencies. The expert team provides innovative, tailored solutions to students, researchers, and professionals. In addition, UROC also provides a 10-week paid Summer internship program where students get hands-on experience working on their own UAS-related project.
