The Clark Opportunity Transfers Scholars Program offers students transferring from community colleges a need-based scholarship of in-state tuition, mandatory fees, and differential tuition (if applicable). The scholarship is offered throughout four semesters of study.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Be a transfer student from a Maryland community college, admitted to the Clark School of Engineering at the University of Maryland for the Fall semester, or a student at the University of Maryland who attended a Maryland community college and will be transferring to the Clark School of Engineering as an internal transfer student in the Fall semester.
- Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
- Demonstrate financial need as indicated by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid and as determined by the Office of Student Financial Aid.
*Preference will be given to students who will be eligible to take junior-level engineering coursework upon entry to the Clark School of Engineering.

Funded by Constellation Energy’s Calvert Cliffs Clean Energy Center, this merit-based scholarship supports students who are admitted into an Engineering program at the University System of Maryland at Southern Maryland (USMSM) campus. Each year, one Mechanical Engineering student and one Electrical Engineering student will be selected. Recipients may renew the scholarship for up to four semesters.
Award Amount: $15,000 ($7,500 per semester).
Eligibility Requirements:
- Be an undergraduate student with junior or senior class standing.
- Be Admitted into the Mechanical Engineering or Electrical program at USMSM.
- Make satisfactory progress toward a B.S. in Engineering.

Eligible students will be considered automatically based on academic performance and enrollment status.
The USM Transfer Scholarships offer financial support to Maryland community college students transferring to four-year institutions within the University System of Maryland.
The Regents Scholars Program awards cover full in‑state tuition, mandatory fees, room and board, and include a $1,000 annual stipend for books or computing needs. These scholarships are renewable for up to four semesters, contingent on maintaining good academic standing (minimum 3.2 GPA at the transfer institution)
In addition to the full-scholarships, USM offers a range of partial transfer scholarships, providing $2,000–$4,000 per academic year, renewable for two years, to address additional cost-of-attendance expenses
Eligibility Requirements:
- Be a Maryland resident.
- Be a Maryland community college graduate or have earned at least 56 credits toward an associate degree.
- Have an excellent community college grade point average (GPA should be close to a 4.0 to be competitive for Regents Scholarships).

The Frederick Douglass Scholarship is a prestigious, merit-based scholarship offered by the University of Maryland (UMD) to a select group of academically talented students. It aims to support high-achieving transfer students from Maryland community colleges who plan to enroll at UMD full time.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Be an admitted UMD student for the current spring semester or a transfer applicant for the upcoming fall with no prior degree-seeking status at UMD.
- Be a Maryland resident at the time of applying.
- Be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or qualify for in-state status.
- Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5.
- Earned an associate’s degree from a Maryland community college, have completed, or be in the process of completing 56 college credits with the most recent 30 credits earned at a Maryland community college.
- Demonstrate English proficiency through application materials.

The Patuxent Partnership (TPP) Pathways Scholarship will be awarded to graduating high school seniors who plan on attending the College of Southern Maryland (CSM) and majoring in engineering to support STEM workforce development at NAWCAD. Students will be eligible to receive up to $5,000 per year in scholarship funds for up to two years, providing they continue to meet the eligibility requirements and remain in good standing.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. citizen and a resident of Southern Maryland
- Enroll as a full-time student at CSM (minimum of 12 credits)
- Possess and maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA, with no grade lower than a B in designated courses such as Calculus II and Physics, and no grade below a C in other courses
- Agree to apply to the Southern Maryland Pathways Program in Engineering, majoring in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering at the University of Maryland A. James Clark School, taught locally at University System of Maryland at Southern Maryland (USMSM), and enroll upon acceptance.

Del. Brian Crosby Scholarship
This scholarship is intended to assist St. Mary's County students in furthering their education and pursuing their career goals.
Eligibility Requirements:
- You must be a resident of Maryland Legislative District 29B.
- You may apply as either a full-time or part-time student, however, you must be taking at least 6 credits per semester to qualify as a part-time student.
