What Made You Decide to Attend UMD?

I decided to attend UMD after coming to a prospective engineers event held on campus. After hearing all about the Clark school and all the opportunities available to students I felt that this would be a great place for me to explore the field of engineering.

Best Experience with a Class or Project

In ENES 100: Introduction to Engineering Design we were tasked with creating a virtual Rube Goldberg Machine, we were still in a virtual learning environment and our teams theme was The Lion King. Our team worked really well together, embracing the nuances that came with virtual learning, and created a final product that showcased innovation, creativity, and teamwork that the Clark School aims to instill in students. My favorite part of the project was coding the Arduino to display text that fit into the theme of our machine.

Cool Engineering Experience

A cool Engineering experience I've had recently was participating in the Amazon Design Challenge last spring. The prompt was to create a new app, website or experience for an under represented or under served group. It was cool to be a part of a the design process with the aim of solving a real world problem. This experience really put into perspective the need for engineers in solving the problems we face today.
