What motivated you to become a ClarkLEADER?
I wanted to give back to the UMD community and help new engineers find their footing here. There's a lot of little things that can really improve life on campus!

What is one piece of advice you would like to share with new Maryland Engineering Students?
Go outside. Attend club meetings, job fairs, sports games, anything. Your experience at UMD can only get better by meeting new people.

What are some organizations or extracurricular activities you think new students should know about?
The Eppley Recreation Center is a really good place to find lots of physical activities to do. If you're looking for specific clubs, check them out on Terplink. Academically, there's Keystone tutoring for gen-ed engineering courses, and usually department specific tutoring programs.

If you attended ClarkLEAD as a first-year student, what did you enjoy most about the event?
I liked hearing the differing levels of experience that other engineers entered college with. As someone who considered themself behind other engineers, it was nice to see that my situation was shared by many others.
