Thank you visiting the Undergraduate Advising & Academic Support (UA&AS) website!
As the world deals with the impact of the COVID-19 virus outbreak, the University of Maryland has adopted measures to move the campus to an online learning environment. With this goal in mind, UA&AS is converting to a virtual office for a period of time as outlined by the campus. UA&AS will continue to provide its advising services to students; only the method of delivering services will change from in-person to online.
If you are an Undecided Engineering student & have questions about mandatory advising, you will be contacted by our office with further instructions on setting up a virtual advising appointment.
If you have already declared a major within Engineering, please contact your academic department directly: https://eng.umd.edu/contact-advisor
If you are a prospective internal or external transfer student, please email your questions to email@example.com.
The university has provided general information about the coronavirus (COVID-19) available by visiting https://umd.edu/virusinfo. For specific student services related information, visit here.
We care about your health & safety & look forward to working with you virtually.
Our mission is to provide students with the support needed to navigate the A. James Clark School of Engineering through education about curriculum and academic policies in an effort to guide them on their path to graduation. We do this by serving as a resource for all students as well as departments, the college, and the greater campus community.
UA&AS strives to create a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive environment for all students. Our primary role is individual advising for undecided engineering and prospective transfer students. We also assist engineering students on a number of related issues and are committed to the success of all Clark School students.
