What motivated you to become a ClarkLEADER?
As a freshman entering the engineering school, ClarkLEAD was a formative experience that shaped my excitement and expectations for my next four years as a Maryland Engineer. My ClarkLEADER was exceptional at answering any questions I had regarding the engineering school, curriculum, rigor, and life at UMD in general. As a ClarkLEADER, I hope to provide incoming students with the guidance and support that makes them feel confident, welcomed, and ready to embody what it means to be a Maryland Engineer!
What is one piece of advice you would like to share with new Maryland Engineering Students?
Explore your interests outside of engineering! It will help prevent burnout and make you a more well-rounded person here at Maryland and beyond.
What are some organizations or extracurricular activities you think new students should know about?
Starting research early is a valuable extracurricular activity for engineering students! Find a lab that you're interested in and reach out.
