What motivated you to become a ClarkLEADER?
Coming into the university as a transfer student, the environment was completely different. The workload was heavier, all the study areas were packed, and the campus was large enough my back-to-back classes were 20 minutes walking distance from each other! I was definitely overwhelmed at first, but after my first year, I made countless new friends and felt more connected with the community. To help the people who I also was in their overwhelmed shoes, I wanted to give back as a ClarkLEADER and help ease the process of y'all making it in to UMD!

What is one piece of advice you would like to share with new Maryland Engineering Students?
Try everything and anything (that's safe), you only get what you put in!

What are some organizations or extracurricular activities you think new students should know about?
PLEASE take advantage of the career fairs, and also check out Society of Fire Protection Engineers just for fun!
