What motivated you to become a ClarkLEADER?
After being a successful swim coach and academic mentor during my High School years, becoming a ClarkLEADER was a natural next step. I wish to meet new undergrads who bring a similar excitement to the university when I was a Freshman. Being able to prepare future students in their undergraduate engineering journey is a great opportunity to both relieve new students of the stress associated with engineering and inform them of the invaluable online resources that UMD has to offer.
What is one piece of advice you would like to share with new Maryland Engineering Students?
Having computer issues is almost inevitable during your time at UMD. Fortunately, the Division of Information Technology is conveniently located near the Adele H. Stamp Student Union, in the Patuxent Building. They offer walk-ins 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mon-Fri and have helped me download important software tools such as Fusion 360, CLion, PuTTy, and much more! If you don't want to download these pieces of software, either because they are too slow or take too much space on your computer, there are hundreds of computers in libraries and labs that have many of these tools preinstalled.
