What motivated you to become a ClarkLEADER?
Throughout my time in the Clark School, there have been many times where I learned about a resource or program that would have been very useful in my freshman or sophomore year very late, and regretted not taking advantage of it sooner. I want to be a ClarkLEADER to prevent incoming students from having that experience, and to be a source of information so they feel as prepared as possible coming into the school.
What is one piece of advice you would like to share with new Maryland Engineering Students?
Create a schedule that works for you as early as possible! Coursework can get overwhelming very quickly, so it's important to be able to set aside periods of time to get most of your work done so you can also have some free time for yourself.
What are some organizations or extracurricular activities you think new students should know about?
One organization that's particularly helpful is Engineering Career Services. They offer a lot of services (ex. resume reviews, workshops, information sessions) that are specific to engineering students, which is convenient because everything is more tailored to your situation.
