I really wanted to help new students avoid the mistakes I made and show them that they’ve got this!

What is one piece of advice you would like to share with new Maryland Engineering Students?
Get comfortable being confused. Whether it's circuits or code, that “aha” moment always hits after the struggle.

What are some organizations or extracurricular activities you think new students should know about?
Check out Center for Minorities in Science and ENgineerins (CMSE) for support and community, Institute for Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) if you like tech projects, and Terrapin Works if you enjoy building things. McNair and National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) are also amazing spaces to grow and connect.
