What motivated you to become a ClarkLEADER?
Coming in as a transfer student, it can be a big jump coming from community college. So I wanted to be able to share my experience as a transfer student to be able to help other transfer students that may also feel the same way I did on my first day. It can be a lot to navigate and having someone share their experience really helps.

What is one piece of advice you would like to share with new Maryland Engineering Students?
I would tell new engineering students to make study groups/homework groups as quick as possible. It makes a big difference and the people that are in the same class are most likely going to be in recurring classes.

What are some organizations or extracurricular activities you think new students should know about?
I think new students should know about Steel Bridge and American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). Those were two extracurriculars I joined and I have met so many new people and made tons of memories. It’s also a good opportunity for networking and learning new skills.
