ESTEEM/SER-Quest Program

The ESTEEM Research Mentoring Program (Engineering Science and Technology to Energize and Expand Young Minds) and the Summer Engineering Research (SER)-Quest is a recruitment program sponsored by CMSE in the A. James Clark School of Engineering at the University of Maryland College Park. This summer's program is a 4-week in-person program and will be held on the University of Maryland Campus.

The STEM Expo is a free event designed to inspire 3rd-12th grade students and their families to explore exciting opportunities in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). Students will engage in interactive hands-on STEM activities, tours, and demonstrations, preparing them for future academic and career success.

Diversity in Engineering

The Diversity in Engineering: College Readiness Workshop for 11th and 12th graders provided students with guidance on the college application process, applying to the Clark School of Engineering, and available summer programs. Hosted by CMSE and UMD’s Black Engineers Society, the workshop featured speakers from financial aid and admissions, a student panel, campus tours, and more.

3D Design & Printing Summer Program

The 3D Design & Printing Summer Program is a free 2-week commuter camp that introduces rising 4th–6th graders to STEM through hands-on 3D design projects on the UMD College Park campus. The 2025 session runs June 23–July 3 and is open to students who attend school in Maryland or the Washington, DC metropolitan area, with a maximum of 20 participants
