What motivated you to become a ClarkLEADER?
I want to be part of creating a welcoming environment for all our new students! I also want to help them feel comfortable and informed about everything available to them, and how they can make the most of it, just like I was supported when I was a new student.

What is one piece of advice you would like to share with new Maryland Engineering Students?
If there’s anything you’re interested in, no matter what it is, don’t be afraid to ask around. UMD has so many resources, organizations, and activities, and a lot of people who are here to help you find them. It’s just a matter of reaching out.

What are some organizations or extracurricular activities you think new students should know about?
I would recommend that they follow Student Entertainment Events (SEE) on social media, they’re always hosting fun campus-wide events where students can meet new people and de-stress. Also, on TerpLink, they can read about all the clubs available on campus. They should definitely reach out to the ones they’re interested in!
