What motivated you to become a ClarkLEADER?
As an incoming freshman, ClarkLEAD helped me gain a few friendly faces in the engineering community. To give back, I want to help new freshman have the same opportunity to get to know peers they might take classes with as well! I’d also love to share my firsthand experiences and advice on navigating difficulties and enjoying freshman year with the new incoming engineering class!
What is one piece of advice you would like to share with new Maryland Engineering Students?
It’s okay to reach out for help! Sometimes there are difficulties we are faced with that we believe we have to go through alone, especially with tough STEM classes. But, there are so many ways to find support on campus! Whether it be a friend, professor, club, or campus organization, don’t be afraid to reach out for assistance, they want to see you thrive!
If you attended ClarkLEAD as a first-year student, what did you enjoy most about the event?
Meeting new friendly faces and learning about the importance and impact of engineering was inspiring.
