What motivated you to become a ClarkLEADER?
I was motivated by the idea of helping new students feel welcomed and supported. I understand that the transition to a new environment can be both exciting and overwhelming. As a ClarkLEADER, I hope to provide students with encouragement, guidance and a sense of belonging as they begin this new chapter.
What is one piece of advice you would like to share with new Maryland Engineering Students?
Don't feel discouraged when things don't go as planned. Setbacks are only lessons waiting to be learned. Every challenge you encounter is an opportunity to learn, grow, and improve. Rather than fearing failure, embrace those moments as they will slowly shape you into a well-rounded individual.
What are some organizations or extracurricular activities you think new students should know about?
I would encourage new students to join Flexus/Virtus, a living and learning program designed to support new engineering students. There, you’ll have the opportunity to meet other engineering students and build a strong support system to guide you throughout your college career.
