What motivated you to become a ClarkLEADER?
I wanted to learn more about everyone’s expierences and why all of us are motivated to be engineers. The event helps us understand that we are all in this together!

What is one piece of advice you would like to share with new Maryland Engineering Students?
Make sure you have a way of organizing all of your assignments and due dates or else you will find yourself missing important grades. It is also super important to start your studying early!! You’re always busier than you realize and don’t want to be playing catch up!

What are some organizations or extracurricular activities you think new students should know about?
I am a part of Alpha Omega Epsilon, which is a professional women in STEM soroity. I feel it has opened the doors for connections among other classes, all of which have good advice to give. Making friends coming into college can be really scary and this sorority has helped me meet lots of new people!

If you attended ClarkLEAD as a first-year student, what did you enjoy most about the event?
I enjoyed being able to meet other incoming freshmen who were all expierencing the same stress and emotions.
