What Made You Decide to Attend UMD?
I love the campus and the atmosphere it creates! The engineering program is curated to gives students the best possible preparation while having fun and applying our knowledge to hands-on experience. UMD's commitment to sustainability was also a big factor in choosing this amazing school!

Best Experience with a Class or Project
Building a truss for ENES102. We got to design a truss using what we learned during the semester, then build it ourselves and test it using industry-level machines.

Favorite Class
ENME272: Introduction to Computer Aided Design

Favorite Class Out of Major
PLCY301: Sustainability

Student Organizations/Extracurricular Activities
Theta Tau Maryland Images Terps Vote

Favorite On-Campus Event
Maryland Day!

Favorite Research or Study Abroad Experiences
For my Sustainability class, I had to pick an item from my daily life and research its entire lifecycle- from production and manufacturing, to transit, to distribution, to utilization, and finally disposal. I chose batteries, and it was a really interesting experience to see how much goes into providing something so mundane and mindless.

Cool Engineering Experience
Last summer, I interned at NASA in the mechanical engineering branch, where I validated the Automated Tape Layup of composite materials for spaceflight application.
