What motivated you to become a ClarkLEADER?
As a freshman entering the engineering school, I was unsure of what to expect and nervous that I wouldn’t be able to keep up with my peers. Going through ClarkLEAD helped to assuage many of my concerns by allowing me to discuss my apprehensions with ClarkLEADERs-students who had been in my position only a few years before and could help me understand what being a Maryland Engineer entails. Given how much ClarkLEAD and the ClarkLEADERs made me feel like I had a place in the engineering school, I want to provide the same guidance to incoming freshman at ClarkLEAD this year.

What is one piece of advice you would like to share with new Maryland Engineering Students?
Take advantage of tutoring services and office hours!

If you attended ClarkLEAD as a first-year student, what did you enjoy most about the event?
I was able to meet people from my major who are now some of my closest friends.
