What motivated you to become a ClarkLEADER?
My freshman year, I really struggled with the engineering course load. I also had a hard time finding a community in the Clark school. I wish I had someone who could give me advice to make my transition to UMD easier. I hope to be the role model I wish I had for the incoming freshman and help them make the most of their time at UMD.
What is one piece of advice you would like to share with new Maryland Engineering Students?
Imposter syndrome is very real, and there may be times throughout college where you feel like you are not smart enough to be an engineer. Engineering is an extremely hard major and everyone is struggling, even if you can't see it. Just put your all into everything you do, find your passion, and never give up. You'll be there before you know it.
What are some organizations or extracurricular activities you think new students should know about?
Theta Tau!! Its a professional engineering fraternity; I made my best friends here and it has helped me get my internships!
