What motivated you to become a ClarkLEADER?
I am interested in helping new students find their academic place in college as I have by being a ClarkLEADER. During my first year, I felt very welcome and left the program feeling excited for what was to come, and I would like to see others experience the same.
What is one piece of advice you would like to share with new Maryland Engineering Students?
You will learn a lot about yourself throughout this process as an engineering student, so keep an open mind and remember to keep trying! Once you find your balance, everything will fall into place.
What are some organizations or extracurricular activities you think new students should know about?
Society of Women Engineers (SWE) and Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES) are both very helpful in allowing you to meet more like-minded people in your major.
If you attended ClarkLEAD as a first-year student, what did you enjoy most about the event?
I liked having other students at my table to help acclimate and make new friends.
