St. John Receives Honorary Doctor of Public Service Degree
Clark School alumnus Edward St. John (B.S. '61, electrical engineering) was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Public Service degree at the campus commencement ceremony.
St. John, a Baltimore-area real estate developer and philanthropist, has contributed and/or pledged gifts totaling $43 million to local non-profits and educational institutions. Recently, he donated $10 million to UMD for the creation of a new learning and teaching center.
