Clark School Alumnus Assists with 24-Mile Jump from Space
Clark School aero alumnus Shane Jacobs (Ph.D. '09) helped design the space suit used this week by Felix Baumgartner, who jumped from 24 miles above the earth in a record-breaking sky dive that broke the speed of sound. Watch a news interview with Jacobs below.
The suit, made by David Clark Company, protected Baumgartner from the dangers of high altitude and provided him with the oxygen needed. Jacobs is soft-goods design director at David Clark.
