What motivated you to become a ClarkLEADER?
Being granted the opportunity to work closely within the engineering community, alongside both my peers and newly admitted students, is a big motivator for me. I’ve always valued the support and community within the Clark School, and becoming a ClarkLEADER allows me to actively contribute to the environment. I’m excited to help new students transition into college life, share my experiences, and grant a welcoming atmosphere.

What is one piece of advice you would like to share with new Maryland Engineering Students?
My biggest piece of advice is to put yourself out there and get involved around campus especially by joining clubs and organizations that interest you. Whether it’s a technical team, a cultural group, or a service organization, these spaces are some of the best ways to meet people, build friendships, and feel connected on campus.

What are some organizations or extracurricular activities you think new students should know about?
Black Student Union, Black Engineering Society, African Student Association, Center for Minorities in Science and Engineering, Women In Engineering, Crochet Club, TERPS Racing.
