Description: S.P.I.C.E Camp, Students with Potential and Interest, Considering Engineering, is a week-long commuter program for young women who will be entering the 9th and 10th grade in the fall. The program is geared towards women whom would like to learn more about engineering disciplines, opportunities, and careers. Throughout the course of the week, students are introduced to the field of engineering through projects, tours, and guest speakers. Each activity is intended to highlight the relevance of engineering in daily life and showcase how engineering improves society. All activities will be supervised by current engineering students and conducted in a safe learning environment at the University of Maryland, College Park.
