Continuing Our Momentum With a New Strategic Plan

Headshot of Dean Samuel Graham, Jr.

Another successful semester at Maryland Engineering is drawing to a close, one that included $62.5 million for a new battery consortium, $31 million for semiconductor research, $26 million to develop new refrigeration technologies, and $10 million for hydrogen for transportation systems, a new center for space research, and more. Thank you for being partners in our success.

As we look to continue our momentum, we are excited to share our new strategic plan, We Innovate for the Public Good. Our plan expresses our shared aspirations for the Clark School, with a roadmap for reaching them and the positive difference we hope our solutions will make on society. As our vision statement expresses, we believe Maryland engineers are prepared and motivated to answer its call:

The Clark School community—our students, staff, faculty, and alumni—will lead the development of engineering innovations and the delivery of inclusive engineering solutions that promote a more equitable, sustainable, and vibrant future for all in the state of Maryland and beyond.

Every day, the Clark School’s outstanding students, faculty, staff are catalyzing this vision and engineering solutions to challenges that will impact our future. You are essential players in that pursuit.

We encourage you to read and share our strategic plan. Thank you for collaborating with us to better our society in a positive and long-lasting way.
