Lin Encourages Innovation with Gift

The fund, to be administered by the department, will help innovative students, staff and faculty to move their ideas through the complicated and often pricey patenting process.
"As engineers it is our duty to make sure that our innovations result in better lives for people," said ECE Chair Pat O'Shea. "Professor Lin's gift will enable us to stimulate and reward the process of launching our inventions beyond the walls of the University, so that they can do good things for society."
Lin is a past inductee of the Clark School's Innovation Hall of Fame.
